"The asanas as usual were nothing short of amazing, I would perhaps have added the set of asanas which really, really focused on the abs. We did a set week or two ago in which we grounded ourselves on our sacrum and alternated knee bends, Boy did I feel that in my abs the next day!
Your teaching of yoga is inspiritational for me, I feel more empowered towards truth, clarity, kindness and love every day. I have studied the martial arts and I feel as though the martial arts have prepared me for challenges from the outside, whereas the yoga focuses on preparing for battles within. "Dawn is a wonderful Yoga instructor who is teaching at a studio in Vienna (East Meets West on Church Street). She also does private sessions, and teaches classes at Fitness First in Reston and Tysons. I wasn't a big fan of Yoga until I started classes with Dawn. You can get cardio, toning and stretching in one session with Kundalini Yoga. She also teaches techniques that can really help with back pain."
"I ADORE LifeForce yoga. I used a little of it the other day... on Tuesday, when the snow began turning into sleet and freezing rain, I decided it was time to head home from my office. I HATE driving in snow or ice, and because four different people had called me to tell me it was slippery out and I should go home, I was a nervous wreck by the time I got in my car.
I knew I had to calm myself down, and suddenly recalled your breathing-through-the-left-nostril instruction, and how we could use that technique if we ever wanted to calm ourselves down. So while my car warmed up, I did a few minutes of deep, relaxing yoga breathing, and then focused on breathing through my left nostril. Well, guess what... it worked!
